Wild Carp Trust recommends Noyadd Farm Campsite to fishers in mid-Wales

2 June 2021

The Wild Carp Trust is proud to recommend Noyadd Farm Caravan and Campsite to wild carp fishers visiting mid Wales.

Located in the Epynt mountains south of Build Wells, Noyadd Farm sits at the base of the mountain that contains Pant y Llyn and is a 5-minute drive or rewarding 1-hour hike to the lake. It’s also a 15-minute drive away from nearby Llyngwyn at Rhayader.

The campsite has caravan pitches with electric hook-ups and drinking water taps, and there’s a dedicated camping area set away at the quiet end of the site. Fire pits are permitted. There are modern and very clean toilet and shower facilities, and it’s only a two-mile drive to the Co-Op supermarket in Builth, or to shops and takeaways (good chip shop and kebab shop) in the town itself.

Noyadd Farm is a working sheep farm with glorious views across the mountains and wooded valleys. Trout fishing is available on the river that flows nearby, though we recommend using the campsite to recover from more strenuous wild carp fishing activities up in the mountains. The campsite is open all year.

If you prefer to stay in luxury, the site has a very finely appointed holiday cottage as well that has two double bedrooms and all mod-cons.
