Wild Carp Trust secures second conservation pool

22 April 2023

The Wild Carp Trust has secured its second conservation pool. Named Iris Pool, the water is about a quarter of an acre, thirteen feet deep, very clear, and with healthy weed growth.

Following work to clear some of the weed and marginal reeds, the pool will be used to conserve the Pant y Llyn strain of carp.

Wild Carp Trust trustees Steven Murgatroyd and Peter Whipp inspect our new conservation pool.

No prizes for guessing why we named it Iris Pool.
